On March 30, 1867, Russian sold Alaska to the US. Some Russians are given the option to sell their land and move to a different region in Russia or Stay and become an American. Some of them chose to become Americans while others moves back to Russia. If your Municipality, state, city or province got sold by your government to another country, Will you stay? In my case it depends on the new country. If My region is being sold to Saudi Arabia or North Korea, I am going the hell out. If my region is being sold to a country like France, Finland, Sweden,Japan or Canada I am going to stay and accept the new citizenship.

It depend on where. Given that my nearest neighbors are both Malaysia and Indonesia, it is not likely for that they have incompetent government official even through the people in these countries are friendly.

I just realized the Alaskan Russians who decided to stay in Alaska just dodged a bullet called communism.

@CaptAlbertWhisker If you like your country (or the country where you live) you do not accept to "be sold" to another country, this is a fact.

Yes, it would all depend on the situation and of course, there is the other side to the story too even if you might not be happy about the new situation what if you don't have the money to make a move?
