My Sentiments EXACTLY!

So, it started out that our Dohrn driver for our pickups was just running "a little late." As luck would have it I was the one to stick around today to wait for our freight and ground guys. It just SEEMS like EVERY TIME it is MY TURN to stick around... The YOU-KNOW-WHAT just totally hits the fan. Quitting time is 5 P.M. The Spee-Dee guy did not show up until about 10 after, and he was here until about 5:25. The Dohrn driver was about a half an hour away. NOW, that Dohrn driver's truck broke down. It is 6:03 P.M. as I write this, and the replacement driver is a half an hour away. I feel EXACTLY the sentiments of the gentlemen in this video. At least I am getting paid. While I work on commission mostly, I do get a pittance on the hourly as well. Bite me.
This sucks camel dicks on the planet bullshit.

I'm sorry the drivers were late and you needed to wait for them.

I mean, it wasn't all bad. I was still getting paid. Still, it did kind of put a damper on my evening.

It is the ONLY advantage to some situations in this job. I make most of my money from commissions. But they still pay me a paltry base hourly wage. I guess I cannot totally complain. lol

Well at least you get something for staying later. I understand being annoyed by finding out last minute you have to say late. It's alright if you know early in your shift but last minute that kind of crap makes me so mad.

I am sure I will need to call my broker with all of that overtime to account for.

Waiting is so difficult and when things like that happen I feel frustrated too

Frustrated is a good word. The only thing I can say to it is that it is not often that it happens this way. I mean, sometimes our drivers ARE late (in fact they are a late a lot of the time), but usually not quite this late. Normally I would just say screw it at about 530 and let the stuff ride until the next day, but my coworker REALLY wanted his fenders out, and so I figured I'd do my part and make sure that was going to happen. Not that he deserves it. lol
