Burglars follow all Covid norms and loot a jwellery shop

India
September 11, 2020 9:59pm CST
During this Covid pandemic face mask and hand sanitising is compulsory and so it was also followed by burglars while looting a gold jwellery shop in the city of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh state of India. The shop owners gave hand sanitizer to the burglars after which the burglars took out a gun and looted the complete shop containing gold and cash. The police are on the look out for the burglars based on the security camera video recording. It's difficult now to make out with the mask who is a genuine customer and who is a burglar . Do you agree. Any solution.? Video of the burglary shared below ;

That is just despicable, to rob a shop. People want to earn a living by decent means. Robbery is the work of dishonest, good-for-nothing men.

@jayanth_77 Not the right recourse. There will always be a decent source of living.

Yes robbery is an evil act but when people don't find any respectable means of livelihood them enter into the world of crime.

@eileenleyva yes I agree. But some people want to become instantly rich.

Wow, what horrible people! But I can see how people would take advantage of the situation. Not sure how we can guard against that.

@jayanth_77 It's really bad and it's happening even here. The government is trying to put a stop to it.

They were very brazen to do that. I hope they get caught.

I saw the video making rounds on social media and news channels. Quite strange that they followed all safety measures. And you are right, with masks on its tough to identify people.

Yes it's tough to identify criminals with mask as now all look the same wearing the mask.

I think even when they are wearing mask police can find them with the help of forensic and video recording

@Butterfingers Yes police can but the task becomes tougher. But things are not good without masks as well!

I think its not easy to trace the burglers if they are first time offenders.

The image above is the actual footage? I heard about a few crimes committed recently during night times. Either policing has taken a hit or the criminals have got more desperate or emboldened.
