I went to market a ew days back and I Have observed that after making the Car parked with Air Conditioner on for an hour or so, I have stopped it to get some fruits.
When I wanted to start the Car , it was bit reluctant to start and started at last like a lazy man.
This is the first symptom that the battery is dying! It is now more than three years I changed the battery!
I will take the Car to the battery store and after the check up I will change the battery!
I will have to confirm if the shop is kept open or not today as it is Sunday today!
How often do you change the battery of your Car?

We run the AC when the Car is stopped but the engine is kept on so that the alternator charges the battery! Thireen years is too much, I must congratulate you! The new battery what I have purchased to day is having 24 moths guarantee + 31 months warranty!

My husband is in charge of all care taking aspects of car
. So not sure exactly how much long a battery lasts. But guess so that we change it when we find that it's started giving troubles.

@arunima25 , Oh yes! I have done that yesterday afternoon only! I never wanted to take any chance at all. Though the battery shop owners felt that we can use this battery for some more days I never wanted to take a chance as the battery was three years old!

@AKRao24 I can understand it. My husband is very fond of cars and takes good care of them like babies. So he always makes sure that things are done in time. I just drive the car because I have to. I am not interested in cars nor I enjoy driving in city.
So did you change the battery??

3 years is not a long time. I think a good battery should work fine for at least 5 years. Well, my car battery is 1.5 years - same as my car's age!

I agree with you! In fact the shop owner also said that the battery is still in working condition but this can ditch us at any time! Now at this age of 60+ it is too risky to be on amove with such battery when I am traveling with my wife! After my Angioplasty surgery my wife never allows me to go anywhere without her accompaniment!

In fact the battery was working Ok upon the checking! But the technician said that it may give trouble if the vehicle is left like that without running for few days! Taking the fact into consideration that we are going to have the winter soon, I never wanted to take a risk! So we have changed the battery!

No idea about it by a friend. I don't have a car at my home.
