September 17 - What I'm Thankful for Today

I'm home and finally eating lunch at supper time. I had a three-hour appointment at noon today for therapy and the surgery.
I'm thankful for that appointment and all I learned for my upcoming surgery on Monday. I have my therapy schedule for a few weeks after the surgery with more to follow. As soon as the incision heals completely, I can do therapy in the pool at the orthopedic center. When I asked her how soon I could get back to the pool, she was pleased to know I swim and told me the pool would be the best therapy. 
I'm thankful for my doctor's office just called with yesterday's test results. Everything is good, I only need to drink more water. Not a problem. I can do that. I thought I might have missed that call, so I'm glad they just called. No, I don't take my phone with me.
I'm thankful for the information I got for Monday's surgery. It looks like I'll be coming home the same day. They'll determine that on Monday after the surgery.
I'm thankful for finding a nice pair of walking shoes. The ones I have are summer shoes. The ones I found are perfect for winter and all seasons.
I'm thankful that my son knew how to recline the seat in the car. So I didn't mess it up after all.
My only concern is after the surgery. I can't sit at my computer as I need to keep my legs up. I can't use the recliner either and I don't have a couch, so I'll be spending a lot of time in bed with my legs higher than my heart. I don't know if I can work on my laptop in that position. I don't know how much work I'm going to get done on Vendetta or how much time I'll be spending here. I'll need to see how it works, but that's for another day. Right now, I'm happy everything went well today and I have the green light for my surgery on Monday. Tomorrow I get the COVID test and then they'll numb the knee.

I'm glad your appointment went well and you got all the info you need and are ready for surgery on Monday. Please do tell how the Covid test goes i keep hearing mixed feelings on that of it hurts or it doesn't hurt lol. I want to know for if i ever need one done. If you can't be here long after your surgery that's ok we understand that your healing and resting. Good luck to you!

@Blondie2222 There was nothing to it. They put a swab up your nostril pretty far, but it doesn't hurt. I needed to have it done twice today due to a scheduling error.

I can understand. May be you can try some speech to Text App. They might not be 100% accurate but you can try them.

I once read a review which said that Speech to Text systems do need corrections.
Msy be some family member of yours can help.
Or you can ask for a favor from mylot people here.
You can mail parts of passages and ask for corrections.
Still the mailing too would need efforts.

so glad ya got the info ya needed, hopefully put'cher mind 't ease some? i've rather go home 'fter than stay'n the hospital 'n risk 'nfection ('t least here, they're prone to such...).
that's great the son 'twas able to figure out the car seat. 'tis he gonna be there fer yer surgery??
well, 't least y'ave got'cher laptop, eh? might take a bit 'f shiftin' schtuff, but possibly doable?
a few 'f the virginia creeper leaves've turned a lovely burgundy. got'n awesome pic (to me anyhow) 'f the water lily's reflection'n the pond. the lil pitiful lookin' black kitten with a scrawny tail 'tis feelin' better (still wheezin' though when 'xcited) 'n seems to've fergiven me fer trappin'/medicatin' 't fer 5 days. let me give't a few scratches anyhow 'nstead 'f hissin'.
aw, crap! fergot to call my sweet momma today'd so much goin'....

jest a few here'n there've turned. yepperz, seems we're friends 'gain :) uhm, no ma'am, 'twas very late. tried callin' this morn, but she ne'er answered 'r called back.... the eldest son, who lives with her, says she's fine. which means he aint bothered to check. not a happy camper.

No, he won't be with me at the surgery. They'll have his number and give him text messages and let him know when to pick me up.
Yes, he got the car seat taken care of so easily, it surprised me.
That's great the leaves are turning such beautiful colors. I'm glad the black kitten is letting you near her again. I hope you called your momma after you posted this.

Thank you. I'm hoping for minimal pain. The therapist said it's going to take a lot of work. When I'm not working with her, I'll be working at home.

They're on the side of the apartment building I live in. That picture was a few years ago.

That's all good to hear, about the things you are thankful for. Hopefully you can find a way so you don't have to be away, and not be able to work on your book.

@just4him That's understandable, even though I know probably frustrating. They always say if there is a will there is a way; or something to that affect.
