Almost every people in my country are into plants now that there has been a great demand for it and plant pots go out of stocks!
Indoor tropical plants have become extremely popular that they're prices has skyrocketed! Way too expensive.
Fortunately, our helper in my parents' home has kept some of the plants in our garden still alive though some aren't that healthy and my sister-in-law has a huge plant collection even before this became a big thing.
This Devil's Backbone plant is one of my pride and joy. It's a cutting I took and propagated in water and I succeeded. Just look at how healthy its leaves are.
I am becoming a plant mum. And I am happy. I'll be showing my other collection soon.
What new hobbies have you formed while on lockdown?

@ZedSmart That's a really good hobby. My brother-in law got into baking during the total lockdown so every week he would give us brownies or some cake.

Who wants to die. Nobody does but not everybody could just stay at home especially those who have no food on their table.
Everybody has learned a lesson. But I'm wondering what hobbies have you developed if any.

@toniganzon I'm into baking and slowly learning and I'm not sure where this will lead me to but who knows, I will make it for good.
I agree, life is difficult to those who have less in life.

@infatuatedbby Most of what you have, I have. I have four or five types of snake plants, I have monstera adansonii, I have dragon tail also known as epipremnum pinnatum that looks like a monstera. I have three types of pothos, different types of caladium and aglaonema, calathea, peace lily. I have more than 50 plants I think. I stopped counting when they got to 40.

Great job with the plant! It looks very healthy.
I haven't really formed any new hobbies while in lockdown. My life has been pretty boring lately. Maybe it's time I liven it up a bit.

Well thank you Jeff!
My dogs and my plants are really keeping me busy. They're the reason I wake up as early as 5:30 in the morning everyday. And I spend more time in the garden these days. Especially when I'm taking a break from my computer work. I check on my plants constantly, just looking and admiring them.
I have more plants that are still in the nursery pots that need to be repotted. Have to find a good pot.

@toniganzon Now that the fall season is finally arriving here, it will cool off enough where it will be enjoyable to be outside. When that happens, I will definitely spend more time outside caring for my plants, just as you care for yours now.

@moffittjc That's wonderful. I woke up early today despite sleeping very late last night. Very late means midnight. I woke up at 6 and then fed my babies. And then I started rearranging my plants and repotted one that I just got coz it need rehabilitating. I think I spent two hours or more with my plants.
And now it suddenly became gloomy when it was sunny this morning. I'm wishing it would rain so my plants could enjoy the shower again.
I noticed they become healthier when they're drenched in the rain once or twice a week.

@DianneN I wish so too. Did I tell you we had our interview for a US Visa last year? Got denied. Now I tell myself that if the US doesn't want my money, I'll spend it somewhere else!

@toniganzon They all have planted tomatoes and other vegetables. I have seen one of the neighbor making sauce outside in a big pot yesterday. I picked up a couple of kilos of the yellow variety (they are sweeter) and I made tomatoes jam yesterday.

We have been on lockdown for almost 7 months now and I have to do something different or I'll go crazy!
I get new plants almost every week so it's interesting to get to know each of them and how to take care of them. I still have more to collect.

I started back doing my latch hook rug a few weeks ago. I am going to get into a new hobby soon. I want to try diamond painting. It's just sticking gems on a canvas, but there are alot of kits on Amazon and it help me decorate this room. I had been wanting some art in here, but I couldn't find any pictures I liked. Now I have which I can make.
