Part of Saturday´s lunch is half done

I have part of the hen casserole in the fridge. I did not add the tomato, the hot chile paste nor the potatoes. I will add all that early morning the same Saturday.
But I will cook the white rice either today or tomorrow morning, depending on how I feel. Rice keeps in the fridge for a long time.
The several pastes to go with the crackers that Lili will bring are all ready. nd I have the cassis and Lili will bring the champpagne. No dessert as Leo has diabetes and is addicted to sweets.
Thinking of it, having a couple over means a lot of preparations. But it means a lot too. I´looking forward to see them.

I was given a rice steamer some years agi and I finally gave it away to Claudia. I like to fry the rice with crushed garlic first.

@marguicha When I make a risotto I fry the rice with olive oil, butter and onion, but when I need steamed rice, particularly Indian Basmati, the steamer is great.
