“How Bad Is Louisville?”

Greetings from northern Kentucky! I’m up here for the state finals, even though I won’t play (back and shoulder issues). When I arrived at my hotel the desk clerk looked at my information and said, “How bad is Louisville?” I spent the evening listening to the police scanner. I heard the “officer down” call when it happened. (If you didn’t hear, two cops were shot by a “peaceful protester”). LOTS of shooting calls (we have that technology that “hears” shots and automatically reports them). Over 130 arrests were reported, and just under half of them were from out of town. On my way I saw a news item that said they were starting to clean up the damage downtown. Wishful thinking? I would pray so, but I told my putting buddy that we could not have picked a better weekend to be out of Louisville if we’d tried. Pray for my city. It hurts. Grandpa Jones singing about home:
