Another dumb and dangerous TikTok challenge

There is a new TikTok challenge out there. This one is called the Benadryl Challenge. It involves teens taking high amounts of allergy medicine Benadryl in order to hallucinate. This medicine is over the counter so anyone can get it without a prescription. There was already one death—a 15-year-old girl in the state of Oklahoma (US). Three teens in the state of Texas (US) have been hospitalized. According to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), taking more than the allowed dosage of Benadryl can lead to "heart problems, seizures, coma, or even death." I don't understand why teens would actually participate in these challenges. There have been plenty of others recently as well the nutmeg challenge and the cinnamon challenge.

This is a perfect example of natural selection at its best right here. What a bunch of idiots. I guess we do need to thin out the gene pool a little bit.

I am curious about the cinnamon and nutmeg challenges. I think nutmeg you had to inhale in large amounts and cinnamon you had to ingest in a large amount.

Unfortunately these types of challenges have been happening for years. They do not see the threat. Teens do not have fully developed brains.

@lovebuglena That is how it is, seriously. The brain does not develop until early 20s.

Benadryl cannot be sold here over the counter because of that very reason.

They are bored, they don't know what to do with themselves, they need some meaningful life. What do they think ?
• Kiryat Ata, Israel

@lovebuglena they think it will fill them up with satisfaction but it won't. It will make them proud only for a while until they stand up in fron of the mirror and ask themselves what is the point of our living in this world, why are we here...Maybe then they will start looking for answers.

Maybe they are bored. But if they do these challenges and film themselves doing them and post the videos on social media I guess they are looking for fame or popularity.

Could be. But they also crave for some social media fame. So they do these stupid things and record themselves doing it and then post on social media to gain likes and views and some "fame".

I do not use it. Trump wanted it banned. According to what I found online a US judge is supposed to rule on the ban preventing new downloads. And then TikTok threatens legal action against the Trump US ban.
