Keto Weight Loss

I have only been tracking my weight loss since I got the fitbit. It registers that I've lost 4.5 lbs, but in total I've lost 14 lbs since I started this diet. I haven't noticed a big difference in the way I feel, but I can tell that a lot of the weight I lost was inflammation. My stomach used to protrude more on one side, but now it's evened out. It would be nice if I lost all of the weight off my stomach, but I know that I tend to lose weight around my thighs and upper arms before anything else. Today I decided I would walk for ten minutes each hour, and I've been doing that. I have walked 8,700 steps since I started walking this morning at 9 AM. That's about 3.9 miles. My goal is to walk 5 miles today. I only have twenty more minutes to walk to reach my 90 minute goal for the day, but I am going to walk until I've reached five miles. I should be close to, if not over 5 miles after the end of the twenty minutes, but we'll see. I keep track of what I eat each day too, and fitbit gives me a breakdown of the Macro nutrients I've consumed. My next step will be to do a 16:8 fast. Which means I'll fast for 16 hours of the day and eat within the 8 hour period.

Thank You. I'm going to eventually get a bicycle again and start riding that twice a day, but for now the walking is fine.

@Courtlynn True, but I feel like cycling would be a little faster and more enjoyable too. My friend has a bike and I'm tempted to buy it off of her, but well she just got it last year. I don't think she's read to sell it yet.

That's great to hear about the weightloss thus far, congrats! Sunds ground about the steps and time walking! Intermittent fasting is great too! I need to start doing that again.

I need to read up on the fasting a little more before I start, but I think it would be good for me.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That is fair...research is always good. Fasting can help a lot from what I have heard. I have tried to do it, but don't think I ever really did it that well lol

I have noticed that I don't really feel the need to snack while on keto. I haven't really done a lot of snacking in years, but with the keto diet I don't really want to do any.

Thanks! I need to actually do a little better then I have been, but I don't have the money to spend on some of the stuff I need, so I do the best I can.

9.9 thousand steps now. I used to do twice that when I was a stock clerk. It's been a long time since I've walked that many steps in one day.

@CarolDM Thank you. I just need to make it a habit. Maybe not ten minutes every hour, but 30 minute sessions three times a day might work better.
