A slip of the tongue or a Joe Biden moment?

I saw a video where Kamala Harris was talking about the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG). In the video she said: "We wear those Notorious B.I.G. t-shirts with a lot of pride..." instead of saying RBG. For those who don't know Notorious B.I.G is a rapper. I don't know if it was a slip of the tongue or if she was having one of those Joe Biden moments... but this cracked me up. I wonder when these politicians talk, do they read from a teleprompter or do they just say things off the top of their head?

Well Notorious B.I.G. is where it all came from. Maybe she just mis-spoke.

I hope the VP candidate does not listen to garbage like "rap." That could (almost) make me consider voting for Trump!

@TheHorse How can one make a mistake like that and not even realize what the heck one just did? Unless it was done on purpose. Though I doubt that.

@lovebuglena I doubt it too. Probably just a human-stupid moment. I've had a few!

Who knows? They've all made a slip-up at one time or another.

Even *I*, The Great and Terrible Horse, have made a slip up at one time or another.

I don't know. After hearing Trump not being able to complete a sentece for three plus years, I'd settle for someone who can do so some of the time.

@lovebuglena You are right about that. I watched part of the debate. There were no knock-out punches or horrible gaffes.

No candidate is the "perfect" man for the job.

@TheHorse I hated that they kept interrupting each other, even interrupting the moderator. And that the moderator could not control the situation. Also the fact, that one person wouldn't let the other finish before speaking. And both candidates were guilty of that. These are the main reasons I hate watching debates of any kind.

Rereading your post (and being someone who has studied cognitive psychology), I realized what she did. The shirts are obviously a play on Notorious B.I.G.. I've heard of him, though I couldn't cite any lyrics from any of his "songs." She was a tiny Jewish woman with a big punch. So there's a bit of humor, as well as respect, in those shirts (I haven't seen one, but I'd consider getting one). Her mistake came from saying what comes off your tongue the most naturally. For example, if I open up a hash distribution site, and call it Crosby Stills and Hash, some people would occasionally call it Crosby Still and Nash, or CSN, instead of CSH, as those words or letters roll off of our tongue so easily. Those kinds of mistakes are especially common when were a bit nervous or anxious.

@lovebuglena Based on her statement, I assume so.

There were t-shirts made that said Notorious RBG?

I haven't heard that, but there is a politician who only speaks off the top of his head.

The current "President" is pretty incredible. He may be the first "President" ever who has never read a book in his whole life.
