Good Afternoon
Hope you all are having a good day/night. Not a whole lot going on around here. Just relaxing today. It’s been a nice cool and cloudy day. I did get my walk in this morning so that was a good thing. Since then I been doing a lot of nothing. Well I did the dishes, took out the garbage, and went through the file cabinet and cleaned that out. Now I have another bag of garbage to take out.
Last night the Tampa Bay Lighting beat the Dallas Stars to win the NHL’s Stanley Cup Championship. Congrats to the Lightning, to say it was a weird NHL season would be an understatement. The season like everything else in life was halted back in March. They did finally come back late with playoffs that were held in only two different stadiums, so all teams were brought up to Canada to finish the season off. The stands were empty of fans though the playoffs something that I thought was very odd, I can’t even imagine how the players felt.
They got through it and we had some exciting final games. Now we just wait to see when the next season will start and what kind of situation they will be. Will fans be back in the seats or will they be playing to empty stands? Under normal situations the season would start mid-October but we already know that it is set for mid-December or course with Covid that could change.

As a lifelong Lightning fan, you can't imagine my excitement with them winning their second Stanley Cup! I'm already eagerly awaiting the start of the next season!
Just this past week the Governor of Florida lifted all remaining COVID restrictions in the state, meaning we are 100% back open for business. This should mean that sports teams can start allowing fans back in the stands.
