Let's all pretend... Crocheted hat

Let's all pretend like I didn't mess up this hat and then had to mess it up more to fix it.
It all boils down to me thinking that my hat was too wide and decreasing another row. I shouldn't have decreased that row and so I ended up having to cut a big tail and weave it in as best I could, which cinched the hat in this manner.
One part is "poofed up" more than the other, but that's the only really big tell that I messed up.
Still pretty good for my second crocheted hat

I have two hats now and one set of ear muffs that I've crocheted. I'm definitely ready for the colder weather.

Right, I don't think they'll really notice as long as they aren't looking at the top of my head.

@ScribbledAdNauseum it is a part of the deign unless they know how to crochet then that is the time I think they will notice. I love the color

One of my favorite shades of purple. A friend says it reminds her of a chinese dumpling.

It wasn't supposed to be bunched like that. It was supposed to lay flatter but because of the way I decreased my stitches, I ended up not being able to cinch the circle right. I had to hide most of the holes by weaving back and forth in that manner.

@sophie09 Thank You. I've seen people do hats like this before, so I guess it's not uncommon. It just wasn't what I was going for. I still like it and I'll still wear it.

Luckily you can't really tell unless you're looking at the top of the hat. I thought about putting a poof at the top but I don't really like those.

@Marilynda1225 Right? Even when it's off my head, they won't really notice unless they are staring at it. Live and learn for me. I'll know next time to start the cinching process before I think I need to.
