Baby's Months Names: Why?

Most of you are aware that some people have months' names, such as April, May, and June. I assumed that it is their birth months. Besides the point, others are named with seasons, such as Summer and Winter. To make it clear, I don't have a low opinion about it. I am just wondering why. What's your call on this matter? It's very much okay. Here in our country naming a baby is considered important. They say that the names have an influence on your personality. So parents choose it very carefully.

In my country, some parents name their babies based on their ancestors' names. Like me, I got my name from great-grandpa.

@Shavkat I have seen many countries and culture following that. That is a way to show respect to ancestors .

I agree. Parents need to be careful in giving their babies names. As of today, CO is not responding to my private message.

In my country people do not give to their kids name of months, we are a Catholic country, the Priest does not baptize a kid if he does not bear the name of a Saint. In France I have heard of some girls named "Avril" (April).

For me, I find it not cool to name kids with months. I think parents need more time to find the best names for their kids.

@Shavkat I agree with you, find a better name for a kid, they should think that we bring our name during all our life.

@sophie09 It is most likely to happen here. Some locals named them with the seasons.

It seems some parents want not to have a hard time thinking of the baby's name.

I agree. My nephew's name is from the Holy Bible's character. Some Filipino names are so long, as my little niece.

Parents should avoid names for kids that will cause embarrassment for them at the later stage of their life

@Shavkat Reminds me of that old song and scene from Sesame Street when they had four panels with four kids. Three were doing the same thing and one was doing something else, and the theme was, "One of these kids is doing his own thing." lol
