A Surprise Call

Yes, it was indeed a surprising phone call. An old friend of ours called this morning. She invited us for a coffee afternoon in her home for this afternoon but we declined as we had already plans for today and for the next days.
She is a 70 years old hobby painter/artist who loves painting landscapes. She called because she wanted us to see her new painting which she painted for commission. She wanted my husbands´ opinion and some tips from him regarding some paint remover, etc... I always love her painting. They are beautiful.
We can only visit her this coming Sunday but sad to say that we will not be able to see the painting that she told us about because it will be collected on Saturday. I told her to just take a photo of her painting. Anyway, I am sure that she has many paintings which we have not seen yet as we have not seen her for months.
Did you get a surprise call today? What kinds of paintings do you like to see? I will take some photos of her painting when we will visit her. She only lives 2 blocks away from us.
The photo is the unfinished painting of my husband.

Too bad you will not be able to see the painting, but, a picture of it may not be the original but at least something. You said it was the unfinished painting of your husband, but, why is there a woman in the painting or is that another one? I have no preference as to what paintings I like.

That is a nice painting. I remember getting a painting from a workmate done with her chatmate from Canada. I have never gotten a surprise call. Maybe when the phone company called me to collect payment. I was surprised!

Your husband is quite talented. Looking forward to seeing the picture of her painting. When I was able, I enjoyed going to the Art Museum. I like all kinds of traditional art.
