Evening tea... Without any company..

It's 6 PM here. I am fresh and energetic after my afternoon power nap of 30 minutes. Took the clothes from clothesline and folded them. Well I kept it in shade in gazebo as it was cloudy or drizzling whole day. Some clothes are still not dry and I have spread them on chairs in balcony and switched on the fan. That should dry them by bedtime. Laundry on rainy days becomes a cumbersome job
My husband handed me over evening tea. But he got some call from his client and has gone up. And now I am here alone with my tea
.
I am not addicted to tea or coffee. I just drink them to give company to someone. I wish my daughters could join me with their hot milk drink. But they are busy. Elder one has coaching classes and younger one has music session going on. So guess! I will be sipping my tea alone.
I love to have a chat over tea or coffee. And no better place than mylot for that now
So as I drink my tea, I will be here mylotting

. You can see my tea and that home made snacks in picture.
And then will be few hours to evening chores and family life
. I might come here again before bedtime. That's becoming a habit these days and bedtime reading has gone for a toss

I don't like drinking them without chatting. I generally do all the talking and husband gives patient ears.

@arunima25 I guess I am just spoiled with our clothes dryers. I've had them in the house since I was growing up. I can dry a heavy load in an hour or less. They probably are power consuming, but we just pay our electric bill whatever it is.
Enjoy myLot! It's wonderful.

We do have dryers with few latest machines. Our one has a extra dry cycle that I use on rainy days. But still clothes need to go on clothesline. And this cycle takes longer time and is power consuming.
You are right. Mylot is a great company and it's always there

@arunima25 It is so important during these difficult times, where many of us are in lockdowns or just afraid to go out, afraid for our own safety.

@Juliaacv I totally agree to that. This site has really helped me to beat the blues that this social isolation and home arrest has brought. It's a respite in these tough times

i recall those days 'f clotheslines, though i've not such now. hangin' clothes 'round the house, near the fireplace'n hopes 'f such dryin' eventually.
i feel the same with teas 't times. somethin' to be lingered o'er conversation.
ack! thought that time fer readin' 'twas a priority, what happened?

We still use clothesline. Most of our washing machine don't have dryer. Though high range models have but they consume a lot of power. I have a strong spin dry cycle for rainy days but still we have to hang them.
Tea time or coffee time is a chit chat time for me.
For reading I have set aside few hours on weekends. That allows me uninterrupted hours to read. On weekdays it's quick reading of some article or some news piece. Nothing more than that.

Same here. If it's bright sun, the clothes feel so fresh. We are having non stop rain and drizzle since Saturday afternoon.

@aureliah I too enjoy it. But then a continuous rain gets depressing too. We got sun on Sunday. And last two days wees bright and warm.

@msdivkar I agree. I mostly make snacks at home. Husband has BP issue and outside ones are loaded with salt.

We have our dinner around 7:30 PM. That's the time when husband gets a break from his official calls to enjoy his tea. We have it between 5_6 PM.

That's a home made snacks. It's a bit salty and crispy. It goes well with tea and coffee.
I just folded two loads of laundry and that's a big work done

Your tea and snack looks good but I can understand that it's better when shared with company

I have tea or coffee only for company. I have two times in a day with my husband. If I do not get a company I can stay without it for months or years.
