The wind is ushering in fall

I was lucky this time and the limbs are not down in my yard. One year, in the spring, a full 1/3 of a huge cedar was blown and twisted almost off. It landed on our roof, caused no damage. Hubby was not well, but well enough that we hooked a chain to it and pulled it to the back. He cut the branches off, and has yet to finish with the trunk, but oh well. We will get it done eventually.

@GardenGerty i hope yer luck continues, hon. looks to be a rough late autumn/winter if'n the fronts thus far'd be any indication. ya might see if'n someone's a fireplace 'r wood burner. they'd no doubt be quite happy to get that cedar wood.

Ours are just beginning to turn. I love the colors.

Our daytime highs are staying below 90.

@GardenGerty On your scale we are in the low 60's here.

Some are changing. Some just brown out and blow away. There are some brilliant red leaves though.

@GardenGerty I've seen some awesome red leaves here too as the trees start changing.

I hope you get just the rain you need.

We still have daytime sunshine, and that is good.

There are things that I need to clean up as well.

@GardenGerty It rains today, but outside I have finished my garden job. I think that from now on I will not go outside a lot.
