Today my dad and I were driving to pick up some dinner and I saw this table sitting outside on someone's lawn. And for some reason it instantly triggered a memory of a scene that was either in a movie or TV show. And for the life of me, I cannot remember what movie or TV show this scene was in!
I will try to give you as much detail as I possible can. But if by any chance this rings a bell to you, please do tell me as it's driving me crazy!
I feel like it was real people (meaning not a cartoon) but unsure if it was from a movie or a TV show. From memory it was a man, who for some reason cut (with a saw or electric saw) off a OR a few table legs because it was wobbly. But he had trouble levelling out the legs properly which made him keep cutting and cutting to the point the table was so short.
And I THINK, he then decided to cut all the chair's legs because at this point the chairs were way too high for the table.
It sounds like a comedy so I'm guessing a comedy movie or TV show. Was thinking maybe "Home Improvement" but not sure. This has been driving me crazy for about 4-5 hours now. If by any chance you know what this scene is from, I'd be so happy and grateful!
Thank you in advance! And if you don't know, thank you anyway. I have other things to update you guys on but will probably do that tomorrow. For now I need to satisfy my brain with this damn scene!

Sounded like a comedy indeed because of the cutting table legs scene.

It does remind me that this scene would be a comedy for sure. Driving me crazy!

@kanuck1 So far you're the only one. It makes me happy to know at least one person who sort of remembers this because I was overthinking it so much so I wondered if I actually dreamed this when I was little or something.
Mr Bean did come to mind but I can't seem to find anything on him acting this scene out. Thank you kindly for stopping by. I appreciate it as this is still driving me crazy.

@BloggerDi Oh my goodness! I wonder if this is it! Because he did say he was going to get a saw to which he then made it a little bit smaller than before. And the mother mentioned about eating around it like the Japanese do which I remember. I have seen some of That 70's Show but not a great deal of it yet so I think this is it though! It's a bit different to the way my mind had it but I think this is it! Thank you so very very much! You're a gem!

@GodServantme It's always nice to get extra cash. But it's also nice to take time out to do relaxing / fun things such as watching movies. If you don't like movies though then I can understand that.

you sparked a shard of memory but it wasn't a comedy and I think it is a different movie. The one i was thinking of was a family in Canada, and they had a table outdoors for family gatherings.

@DocAndersen Thank you so much for your input. Another MyLotter has shared a link with me and I watched it and it seems to be a scene from That 70's Show. It's not exactly the way I had it in my mind but it does match the setting at least. So pretty sure it's what I had in my mind.
