Do you like Halloween?

Some people love it. Some hate it. Some don't care. I had neighbors who thought it was the Devil's holiday. I have an aunt who likes Halloween more than Christmas. Personally I am not a big fan of Halloween. Of course I liked it as a kid with the dressing up and all of the candy. Now that I'm an adult I really could care less about it. I don't decorate for it. Last year I went to the gym instead of answering the door and giving out candy. This year I will probably do the same. Do you like Halloween?

Truth? I lean toward Wiccanism though I do not consider myself to be a witch or devil. Samhain- Halloween- is New Years to me. Its far more than hogging out on candy and screaming little kids. Its a night of reflection; lighting an oil lamp, thanking those gone on before me, cherishing my fur kids, walking in the night, on my property. Its spiritual.

@NJChicaa My fur kids lie out in the Bast grove behind my house. I usually wander up there and speak with them for a moment- my dear Godiva and Samyot. I miss them deeply.

I was never a fan of it, as kids my mother wouldn't let us go out for it. As a parent myself, we really got into it when our son was young and going out or hosting parties for him and his friends-those were a lot of fun. I feel that people either really like or really dislike Halloween, there are not man fence sitters on this one.

I like it because it is time for me to visit my late father in his tomb. This year, I cannot do it.

When I was a kid I did. Now we don't get anyone coming to the door; so we just leave the light out.

I'm not a fan. I never liked dressing up. Felt like I would stand out or something. I liked the candy. As an adult... hate it. It was fun when the kids were little but I hate answering the door and oohing and awwing over kids I don't know. My God, my mother used to take pictures! Nope, lights out, lock the door. Halloween days are over for me. Unless grandchildren come into my life then that might change things but I think Halloween is changed forever due to covid.

I'm more in the group that I don't care. If I have knockers, I will give them candy, but my kids are all older so we don't go trick-or-treating anymore. One of my daughters is going to her friends house. All the kids are bringing a bag of candy to share and they are going to stay up late watching scary movies and eating candy. It sounds like a fun time. I'll be at work unless I just don't get many orders then I'll come home and watch a movie. Have a great day and may the pay out odds be ever in your favor!

We seldom celebrate Halloween, but yes, we do enjoy Christmas! But I do have very high respect for all other religious celebrations.
