Why do I do that to myself?

Last night I watched three episodes of "Still a Mystery", a show on Investigation Discovery, or Discovery ID. It was on my DVR, which I prefer because I can fast forward commercials. I don't sleep much either. But I shouldn't watch that kind of show that late at night! I got my love of real life mystery from my late mother. She didn't have much time to watch TV, but when she did, she was watching America's Most Wanted (remember when that was on?) or Investigation ID. But I know better than to watch those things late at night! When you're a woman who lives alone, the darkness is just a little bit creepier. Anyone else do something they know better?

Just yesterday I was watching the last episode of "The Hunting Of Bly Manor"! It is a ghost story.

I know that I should not watch creepy movies if I am home alone, I know, but I do and then I am too frightened to move from the sofa to the bedroom.

I've been so creeped out before that I checked under my bed. It was like I was six again.

@AmbiePam I understand what you mean, I lifted my feet from the carped and put on the sofa.

Yep, horror movies used to not bother me and now I don't like them at all. I guess being the wife of law enforcement officer has had me in enough fear.

There are shows that I cannot watch either because even with my hubby here I can get scared in the dark. And also, if I see a snake, I will toss and turn that night thinking of it, and feeling really scared.

It doesn't only happen to women living alone, but everybody else. You should watch those kinds of shows at a different time. Haha
