What is important Happiness or peace of mind ? I often ask this question to myself.. So today this question is for you all to answer.. Are both the meaning same ? But the thing (a particular thing) that give me ultimate hapiness often stressed me out soo much ....that I beg for peace .... It's kind of a wierd puzzle I don't know how to solve. Right now I am in a phrase of life where I just want peace and that's it... If that mean I have few people to hangout with...fine ! If that means I have boring life. fine!!! If that mean I am anti-social . Fine !! It's like "peace of mind can give you happiness, but happiness can't give you peace of mind" Please do share what's your take ? .. is it too complicated ....lol..????

Happiness may be experienced in any situations. Peace of mind is felt or achieved if you're free of pressure and problems in life.

Hi there. Welcome to mylot. Well. I agree with what you`re trying to tell us here. I got confused too but I think peace of mind and happiness depends on you. What you want to have peace of mind and happiness because there are people who can be happy in little things and also the same thing as preventing those thinking to achieve peace of mind. I hope you did not get confused because It makes me confused too

I think it depends on how you view it. If you have peace of mind.. you can achieve happiness coz you have peace... If you are happy it can calm your mind... coz, if you are happy things, are getting better or things just went fine. I think you can achieve both if you have the right mindset or views in life even if you are in the midst of tough situation, just like today... maybe the pandemic scares us, but as long as we are able to value what we have, positively looking at every situation ... peace of mind and happiness can be both achieved. Hope it helps a bit.

One thing I have learned. Being anti social has its advantages. I have become more anti social as I have got older and it really is a good thing. It meant that all the restrictions of human interactions placed on us by Corona Virus have not bothered me at all. And that my.friend is a really good thing as I see many people struggle.with the isolation.

I will go for peace of mind. Boring doesn't mean you are unhappy. Watching TV while holding a teacup is boring but it gives me peace of mind.

Choose to be happy by choosing peace of mind. :) Happiness can be hanging out with friends and it is temporary. But at the end of the day, what matters is peace of mind. Being whole and contented and knowing that you love what you do. Beingat peace with everything you do, it could keep you going. :)

I don't think there's a "one size fits all"-answer to this; and if there is, I don't have it (and suspect that 'if anyone tells you they HAVE the "one size fits all"-answer, they're gonna try to sell you something). A 'general' answer people will give you involves "marriage." ("Happy Wife - Happy Life; right guys?" ... must be true, because it rhymes ) The 'general' idea is that a man (and now the woman too) gets a job as soon as they can, doing as much schooling as they can in order to qualify for better jobs; they meet each other and decide to become 'life partners' ("one flesh," sure ... but that's just natural fruit of their cooperation). That's why the main examples of 'good, lifelong marriages' in my life (I can only think of two from my generation ... and most of the marriages in my parents' generation, and I'm not sure if divorce was even "legal" in my grandparents' generation!) were couples that formed between co-workers ... ... well, one was actually 'children of co-workers' (my uncle's daughter and the son of his "Fred Jones Manufacturing"-coworker). And I'm sure a lot of people think you shouldn't focus so much on your love-life--that you should focus on your work and that marriage should just be 'to support that' (and to secure yourself some offspring ... I dunno)--but your family will be the way your name and genes will get carried to the next generation.

I have been struggling with anxiety for a long time, but one thing that I have learned is that happiness is all around you. We simply don't notice. Each day I try to take a walk and look at everything around me. It is pretty awesome. I also had it pointed out to me me, that I have to think about what is worrying me and if it is worth the bother. Most of the time it's not!

Hey that's a well put thought . i feel its a practice to train your mind that way
23 Oct 20
I know when I have reached peace of mind by deliberately getting some peace of mind. Therefore, I know I have acquired genuine happiness-- no matter what the circumstances are around me.

I don't know why you say that happiness doesn't give you peace of mind... example my happiness is my love trusting me even were in long distance and in same point it gives me peace of mind..So i am wondering why you would say happiness doesnt give you peace of mind...
