My cactus is blooming better than ever before

But still has to get blooms all the way around the plant. I'm thinking it will happen this year since I now know to water it more when it's blooming. I'm also doing what Paige suggested and turning the pot so the whole thing gets light. I'm getting ready to leave for work writing half an hour.

@MarshaMusselman For the holidays what they sell here are the Poinsettia plants. I am not a fan of the red Poinsettia, but I like the pink variety.

The stores begin selling it here in the fall and the holiday approach. I have a customer that has all it many of the varieties and exchanged some with people elsewhere. I have pics of her plants somewhere.

They put them out here before the holidays. (I thought I already replied here) I have a customer that has all the varieties or at least most of them if I can find the pic I'll put it here.

This is about only half the plant. Now instead of trying to remember to water it weekly I'm doing it three times or twice with a misting of water. Turning it seems to be helping too so thanks for that idea.

@paigea misting is supposed to be good too unless there's a lot of humidity in your house.

@MarshaMusselman I don't remember saying that, but Hubby is good at remembering that. I will start watering more.

Lots of blooms there! I pinched down and propagated them about a few months back . . . they are growing but will take some time to get to where yours is. Enjoy the blooms when they open up!

Thanks, I am. I wrote about it a bit ago when only one bloom showed up. Crazy shared a link so now I know I'd never watered it enough before once it began to bloom.

@MarshaMusselman i'm doin' the happy dance fer ya! i think we're kinda conditioned that cacti 're drought plants 'n thus don't need all that water'n humidity :) i've been guilty 'f such myself. so glad that link helped ya out'n the results 've been so quick to 'njoy.

@arunima25 are you asking how long since the whole plant bloomed at the same time? At least five years and maybe not since I first brought it home.

My mother used to cultivate cacti, and now my sister does too. I've never grown them myself.
