Going through my photo albums on my PC with a FB challenge to upload one a day for ten days has not been at all difficult for me because there are hundreds of photos I would like to share with my FB friends.
So I have decided to share one such photo with my friend on mylot.
With covid-19 taking its toll in Europe and my heart bleeds for all those that are suffering, I feel quite robbed of the travel opportunities as a result thereof.
Tossing three coins in the Trevi Fountain in Rome is a guarantee we shall return - I have returned once and hopefully my hubby and I or whoever travels with me, get to do it again.
The first time we tossed coins in the Trevi was in 2011 when my daughters and I did a months stunt in Europe visiting as much as we could in the time we were allowed. That was fun as the Trevi was open to the tourists and we had no problem doing our tossing of the coin. Later in 2014 my hubby and I visited Rome and the Trevi was under renovations and we could only toss our coins in a small little water corner 'symbolising' the Trevi. Maybe that's the jinx - it was not INTO the Trevi direct!
so for our 65th birthdays, we would like to take a trip up north and do Europe, Ireland, Iceland and anywhere our Visums will allow - or should I say anywhere COVID-19 has not destroyed.
217 days into the Pandemic and I wonder if our dreams of a normal life of freedom to travel will ever become a reality again?
How do you feel about it?
France has just been put under full Lockdown - no one in and no one out.

@Inlemay Most of those terrorists came to Europe as "refugees" in small boats, mixed to people who escaped their countries. Of course it is impossible to reject them all. It is necessary to check their background. The killer of Nice arrived only a few days before and landed in Italy from a small boat. Italy had sent him to Bari to be checked... he escaped and it was not difficult to reach France.

We are living in heartbreaking times, but I am hopeful.
