Dreary Day, KETO & OMAD?

It's a dreary morning which will turn into a dreary day. I usually love these types of days, but I have enjoyed a morning walk lately and I can't do that this morning. Walking is my preferred method of exercise, but I have been looking at stationary bikes that can folded and stored away. I am 3 lbs away from my first weight loss goal. I will be aiming for another 35 lbs after I reach the first goal. The keto lifestyle has been easier to adapt to than I thought it would be. I do not have the same cravings for foods as I once had and I've noticed lots of other little differences too. I may try the OMAD diet for a week. OMAD stands for ONE MEAL A DAY. That shouldn't be too difficult because I have eaten that way in the past. This week has been.. Stressfully not stressful? Does that make sense? Don't answer that, I know it doesn't. I accomplished on Monday what usually takes me five days to accomplish and so I'm feeling equally burnt out and guilty for not doing anything else the rest of the week.. Well, anything else on the topic I am referring to. Don't you love how vague I'm being? I know I do. Anyway... TL;DR : Keto is going awesome, crushing my goals.. Maybe OMAD and I'm stressed but not stressed

Glad to hear that it is going well, that's great! If you try OMAD I hope it goes well. I haven't been on Keto for a bit because I have a hard time sticking to it October through December.

I know it's going to be hard for me to stick through it over the next few months. I'm going to be having a cheat day tomorrow because I'm going for spooky tea in the morning.

@MommyOfEli2013 I just posted a discussion about it. It's just a tea service themed for Halloween.

Glad your doing well with your KETO and seeing success. It's a very dismal rainy day here too and I had to drag myself out of bed. I hate days like this because they make me feel so lazy

I woke up earlier than usual but definitely lounged around more than usual too! Everyone deserves a lazy day every once in awhile.

I need to lose around 35 lbs to be on the lower set of the weight category for my height. Good luck to you! I wish weight just slid off.

Glad you're getting to your goals! I have noticed that if I cut out sugar, in time I don't really crave it anymore . . . but if I introduce it again, I start having major cravings again. Interesting how that all works . . . I have slipped this month with the sweets . Which meal do you have for OMAD? I actually can understand stressful not stressful. It's sort of a way of life right now it seems .

@ScribbledAdNauseum Interesting! I don't know what they recommend, but I think I would have to have a big lunch for that one meal. But I've never done it . . . only for a week though you say? Oh yah, I'm sure sodas would totally have that effect.

I have't started the OMAD officially but it would probably be dinner. It used to be that I wouldn't get hungry until 2 or 3 anyway, and we eat dinner around 5. I was the same way with sodas. Cutting them out completely, then getting one for a treat and craving them again.

@much2say Yeah, just for a week. I may or may not do it. I guess it just depends on how easy these last 3 lbs slide off. I don't eat many sugary foods anymore. I still eat some, but it's usually very low sugar foods with more fiber and protein in them than anything.

Since starting keto July of 2019 I have thrown OMAD in occasionally too. I’m happy to hear that you’re having success. I love this way of eating.

I love it too! I did 16:8 for a week which boosted me in the weight loss. I've started to drink a bottle of water with roughly 2 tsp of Whitehouse ACV & lemon in it every morning before I go on a walk. I wish keto food was cheaper!

I will develop nasty headaches for sure if I follow OMAD. Might get dizzy too. If I skip breakfast +lunch, post evening my head starts banging and I become grouchy. My stomach growls and my concentration dips rapidly. I guess pros like you know how to not let that happen.

I wouldn't call myself a pro. I guess my body just works differently. I do get those hunger pangs sometimes too, but it's rare for me to feel that way. If you have more protein leading up to it, you shouldn't have as much problem with the OMAD.
