We are having some work done on one of our bathrooms. The carpenter that is doing most of the work, LOVES TO SLAM DOORS and it is driving me crazy. He is going in and out of the garage and every time... wham goes the door. This has to be about 20 times an hour or at least it feels that way.
According to my husband... I tend to take it to the extreme. He hasn't even noticed the noise. On the other hand, he loves things (especially his music) to be loud.
To be honest, I don't know why the man is not completely deaf by now.
As for the carpenter. he is working so hard, I don't want to say anything... The guy stops once a day for a 15 minute lunch and then he is right back at it!! I am just going to try to live with it. ;)
How are you when it comes to noise?? Is it just me???

Out of curiosity, did you set up a 15 minutes lunch for him, or he is the one who spends only 15 minutes for lunch and then back to work?

Oh good heavens no. If he had wanted to come back in an hour, that would have been fine with us. That is his choice. He must really love his work!

@Hate2Iron oh I see. Haha. You know what? It happens, some people only get 15 minutes lunch break at certain jobs which I find inhumane!

Ooh... that is even worse than what I have to put up with. Mine is just a solid door. Even your dogs were on our side. Hope that he didn't damage your lights with the banging into them.

@Hate2Iron Yes, two men carrying a bed damaged my lights in my lounge. If someone goes and holds large items high up my lights get damaged. It is wonderful to have a trade man that does excellent work.

Sometimes I think men are not sound sensitive. They tend to be loud with things and not realize it . . . I even see this in my little son
. There is no need to slam doors but oh yes it happens here too . . . I sure don't like it either

It probably would annoy me every time the door slammed but wouldn't say anything either if he's doing a good job.

I am used to peace and quiet. My husband's Godson/cousin was up from TN yesterday; and he talked nonstop and LOUDLY for 5 hours. I wanted to yell, "Be quiet!!!"
