Happy Monday to all mylotters from this side of the planet.
. The first day at work after two weeks long holiday went smooth so far. I worked for four and hours at a stretch from 8_12:30. And now I am done for the day at school
. I don't have any tuition class today. My students at tuition want this week as break for their term exam preparation. So I have a afternoon free from work this week
I just did the preparation for my lunch in the morning. So as soon as the school got over, I entered kitchen to cook. I made aloo mutter ( potatoes and peas curry) a vegetarian dish. Also made chicken masala and now my macher kalia( a traditional Bengali preparation of fish) is being cooked on stove and you can see that in picture.
.We got fresh pomfret for this dish
.
My daughters are allergic to fish and seafood. And so whenever I cook fish, I cook chicken too. Husband loves fish. I am a vegetarian by choice. But this aroma of pomfret dish and basmati rice is tempting. I might have it today. Last time I had fish was June 2019 when husband made a special baked fish.
Everyone will be done by 1:30 and it's a wait for another 20 minutes. Meanwhile I can just sit and mylot

Yes. I know quite a few in my family only. I guess it's one of the most common form of food allergies.

@arunima25 he was. No spicy food. No certain food. He didn't like fish, only chicken. That's why he's too thin. I'm glad he grow up.

@prinzcy I can see. Must be a challenge to feed him well. I have friends who keep complaining about their kids being fussy and choosy eaters. Glad that I did not go through that.

Yes. It happens. My daughters are not fussy about eating. So I don't have to do it regularly. But yes when it's food allergy we have to do so.
Is your little brother picky and choosy about food??

It's good to go pure vegetarian on few days. No non veg including eggs for us on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. So thrice a week we are pure vegetarian. Well today I took a piece of pomfret. I go for fish or chicken once in a blue moon maybe once in a year or two years. But I cook weekly for my family.

@KityCat Yes. Many don't like it with curry. But Bengali curries are delicious.
