Is it Healthy to be Preoccupied?

There are times that we tend to be preoccupied with something or someone. I think it is healthy to be in this situation. But then, it will be not good for being always like this. I have a friend who keeps on being like this. I tried to tell her not to entertain much about it. What do you think happens when individuals give these things too much attention? What things make you preoccupied? Image Credit: exisglobal.com

@rakski I cannot deal with someone who tends to be whining about something over and over again.

I think preoccupation is a good habit, when i am working,i need it.But just the opposite,if do preoccupation too long,it may exhaust your energy, you will be tired after that.

In a working place, it is normal to be preoccupied with doing the tasks. At the end of the day, he or she will be able to finish them. There will be no backlog.

It's not healthy if your girl friend is preoccupied with an unrequited love.

If this related to overthinking or anxiety, it is not a very good behavior and not good for mental health. But if it is a passion about something we love to do, then it takes life to a new level of satisfaction.

I agree. It is not good for making the overthinking a hobby. It is unhealthy for the person being in this way.

It is fine to be preoccupied but it depends on what thoughts we fill our minds with.

Most of the time I would be preoccupied with work. There's always something to do.

Sometimes I need to slow down a bit. With this pandemic, it is impossible to do this.

It depends on how you let it affect you. Having a healthy, active mind is a good thing. However, it's not good if you let this preoccupation affect your day-to-day life, as well.

This is not a healthy thing to do. Being over preoccupied will make a person's life misery.

Being preoccupied with something can be dangerous if you happen to be driving somewhere.

You have a point. It does not need to be always preoccupied. It might result in unwanted things in life.

It is a matter of balancing life. We cannot control it but it can still be balanced.

If you're preoccupied it's good to be productive, but if not, You don't want to take up too much time

You said it right. The better it is if a person can be productive despite being preoccupied.

it is fine because we need privacy sometimes, but being that kind of attitude as often is no longer healthy

I sometimes think about this concern. Since I have been working at home for a long time, I am feeling isolated. That's the reason why I tried to specialize before the pandemic.
