So, I had ordered two tires online and they were supposed to be delivered either yesterday or today. I asked roomie if any delivery yesterday, he said no, and I didn't see anything. Well to make a long story short, I went out today and I was leaving at the every end of the driveway were two tires...???? OK< my driveway is not short, it is at least 500 yards. Anybody could have picked these up and taken them. Granted in a middle to upper middle class neighborhood theft is not a common occurence, but still...I did not care for that all. Do you think I should call?

ARE they your tires? Are they new? How do you know they were delivered to you? I would definitely call. Ask them where your tires are. If they say they were delivered ask where and if they were the ones by the road that the trash almost picked up. I wouldn't like that either. There's always a question...

I ordered the tires and of course they were delivered to me!. They are the brand I ordered. I just didn't like them sticking them at the end of the driveway where anyone could pick them up.

@snowy22315 We have trash pickup here so anything at the end of a driveway is fair game! My response was satirical and that is maybe what you should ask them. As a business they should be more careful. Goodluck.

@mommaj we don't have trash pick up here. And indeed, they should be more careful.

Good thing is you got your tires. Maybe you can forgive them for now.

I just don't know why they delivered them there where anyone could take them. They have never done that before..

@snowy22315 Yes, its a bit confusing. Could be just the delivery man's fault.

That's not cool at all Someone might take them or throw that away. If I order something, then send it to me. Not leave it in the middle of nowhere without telling me.

Yes, I wouldn't be too noticed if it was UPS but FedEx usually knows better.

To be honest, I am quite amazed (not in a very good way) about the practice of delivery in other countries. In my country, as far as I know, packages are delivered right into the hands of an actual person, not a doorstep, not a porch, not a driveway. And the person who received the package normally has to sign for it. I get that people nowadays are too busy to wait around for packages to arrive, that they need to be somewhere else, but... around here, when the delivery guy finds no one at home at the time, he takes the package back with him and tries another day. If multiple tries have been done (or at least twice), then he can make a report that no one was available to receive the package. Or perhaps he can try a neighbor to receive the package. That way, when the owner inquires about his package, the delivery service can say it was received by so and so... I personally think that's a better way to do deliveries. And it would avoid or lessen those stories I've heard and videos I've seen about porch pirates.

It certainly isn't good practice to leave them at the end of the drive like that. I think I'd be calling someone.
