So since my husband started his job he’s been traveling quite a bit. He currently is in Tennessee. Don’t know where he’s going to end up today. He has been to Long Island, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky too. He calls me almost every night unless he’s driving. We also do video chats. We actually talk more now than we did before he left. His trainer lives in Kentucky so it seems like his trainer is scheduling runs that will bring him close to home. The downside is my husband has to stay in the truck while his trainer is off visiting his girlfriend. My husband has also informed me that he’s probably not gonna be home for Thanksgiving. I have come to the conclusion that it is because his trainer wants to be home for Thanksgiving and his home is in Kentucky. So my husband may spend Thanksgiving with his stepmother who lives in Tennessee. That’s if she is open to having him as a guest. I’m hoping that he gets some time off and will be able to come home for a little while before he heads back out again. But I truly doubt that’s gonna happen. We don’t have the money for him to take a plane back here to spend a couple of days. He refuses to take a plane so that’s off the table. The house does feel really empty without him being here. But I’m adjusting slowly. Little Miss is seemingly OK with it now. She does miss them and will say that she messes up my wishes that he was home. So until the time comes that he’s finished up with his 250 hours of training, I have to continue to adjust to him not being here and to be happy with the time that we do get to spend with him on video chat.

@crazyhorseladycx he keeps saying that this will be the hardest part of his job. But, we both know that it is important for all of us to tough it out. The money he will make when he is fully on his own will be a blessing. We want to buy a home.

This will be one rough month. I guess I can tough it out. Just worried about the little one. Once he comes back and has to leave again will be even harder on her.

@ElusiveButterfly yes ma'am, that it'll be. sadly one's to learn to live with disappointments'n life. 't the same time learn that one's to make sacrifices to care their families.

Hopefully, he can be closer to home in the future. You must be thrilled that he has a job now, and I'm sure you will get used to his being away for long stretches.

It is a huge relief having him employed again. Wasn't sure how long the unemployment benefits would last. We are still paying on his truck. Our bank account was starting to dwindle. Once he has his own truck, he will be making much more than he is now. As for the long stretches, I will be fine if they aren't 3-4 weeks at a time.

@DianneN thank you Dianne. I am having trouble shutting down tonight. I should get off the computer and try to rest. Little Miss wakes me by 7 so we can get the day started. Zoom starts at 8:30 and then we start her school work. Don't be surprised if I take you up on your offer!!!

@ElusiveButterfly It is a blessing that he has this job, and hopefully, he won’t have to be gone that long! That would be a bummer for sure. PM me if you get lonely.

Thankfully the technology has become more advance. Video call is much better now. At least you can see his face despite being quite far from each other.

It's sad he won't be home for Thanksgiving. Is he driving truck? I'm glad you talk to him every day.

He is driving truck. Hoping that he will be home for Thanksgiving. If not, we will survive.

I hope so too I really miss his company. It gets awfully boring having a conversation with a five-year-old on a daily basis. But I can also say it’s highly entertaining to listen to her sometimes LOL

@CarolDM she is a sweetie, most of the time that is. She can also give me cause to pull my hair out! LOL

It's disappointing that he won't be home for Thanksgiving and hopefully he can spend time with his stepmother. I think many people will be apart for Thanksgiving this year mostly due to Covid.

I'm sure the house does feel empty when your husband was previously home so much for so long. I hope the 250 hours go quickly.

I am trying to calculate how long it will take him to get those 250 hours of driving in. They are putting in some long hours for the next few days, so hopefully not too long.

Sorry he's probably not going to be home for Thanksgiving. I hope he can get these training hours done and over with fast.
