I have a 3 year old child. I have stickers stuck on my mirror. (You can connect the dots to get the full story. ) How do I take it off the mirror without a residue. These are paper stickers and not plastic ones. As I tend to procrastinate, they have been on the mirror for 6 months now. Any suggestions are welcome.

It depends on the type of adhesive they use as to what will best dissolve it. You can buy spray cans of label remover which work pretty well. I generally use a razor blade at a shallow angle to remove stickers from glass and then go over what's left with (a) methylated spirit (or vodka or gin!), (b) a light oil - 3 in 1 or WD40 generally work but cooking oil can too, though you'll need to wash that off with detergent or soap and water. Finally (if neither of those work), (c) Carbon tetrachloride, as used for removing grease spots from clothes &c. The razor blade won't scratch the glass if you hold it at a low angle. It really just levers the paper and adhesive up so that they can be peeled off.

Awesome list. Now I can allow her to play with all the stickers she wants to and have a million ways to remove them.

Use a vegetable oil. Place a few drops on a clean cloth. Rub the oil over the adhesive. The adhesive should start to ball up and it can be picked off the mirror.

Interesting idea. I'll try that.

@pitstop We have to paste a sticker on the car windshield every year and to remove it before pasting the new one... this is how I remove it every time.

I used peanut butter and rag to wipe off the residue of sticker glue on my car's window. It works really well. Don't use tissue, it's useless. Must use rag or any cloth. However, I never try to use it on paper stickers. Maybe you can try use water to remove the paper first, then peanut butter. Hopefully you'll find the solution.

Wow. A cosmetic product on the mirror. I'm sure my mirror would love a little pampering.

I use eucalyptus oil I love the comment 'connect the dots'!! I'm glad I don't have a three year old. I wouldn't have the patience for it nowadays.

The eucalyptus oil will add a nice smell too. But I don't have any now. Anna had suggested any vegetable oil. So I may go with that.

Try to follow this one dear. if still not effective, try using a hair dryer. The heat that will come our from the blower will shrink the sticker which will make it easier for you to remove it. Hope it helps!
