November 15 - What I'm Thankful for Today

This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it. It was a good day today.
I'm thankful for my sister and the growing relationship between us. She left early this morning due to the weather conditions - wind gusting to 52 mph and early rain. The wind was still calm when she left. She was an invaluable help to me while she was here for the last several days.
I'm thankful for the online service this morning. Pastor Jimmy had a very good message.
I'm thankful for the progress I'm making with my knee. I'm even remembering to wear my brace when I'm up and about. I don't need to wear it when I'm not moving around. I still need to wear it for another three weeks.
Okay, that's what I'm thankful for today, along with a nice Packers win against the Jaguars. Green Bay is at the top of the division at 7-2 with today's 24-20 win. It was a close game that could have gone either way. They had a very good defense.

thankful fer the sunshine 'n loads 'f youtube videos 'n blogs 'bout this skimmer thingy. 'f course the hubs's downed all options i've presented, says they're one more thingy to clean. dunno why such bothers him coz he don't clean 'em. fetched lots 'f leaves, pine cones, pine needles 'n small tree branches from the pond today. thankful i 'twas able to tend the herd, the barometric pressure e'enin' out.

@just4him such's now thrown to the winds. i fear i'll jest do somethin' by my lonesome 'n he can jest gripe 'bout 't from now 'til the cows come home. he's content to turn the sprinkler'n several times a day. which'll be 'mpossible if'n such does a hard freeze. the pond'd 'lso freeze solid 'n with the low oxygen kill the fish...

@crazyhorseladycx You'll need to do something yourself. You don't want to kill the fish. With as cold as it gets there in winter, a hard freeze would do just that.

I am thankful for friends and family that understand that I am on total lockdown, so speak. It is a wonderful thing that you and your sister are becoming closer. I hope they are not talking about knee replacement for you. My prayers are winging their way to you. Stay safe.

The knee replacement is done. I've had both of them done, six weeks apart. I'm very happy as the left knee was starting to crumble when the doctor opened up the knee. He said if I didn't have it done when I did, I wouldn't be walking. I praise God as I heal up from both surgeries.
Thank you. I'm glad we're becoming closer too.
I'm glad your family and friends understand you're on total lockdown.

@CarolDM I'm doing better. I saw the chiropractor this morning and my back is feeling better. I do need to ice it again. He said it was swollen as well as twisted. He fixed the twist. At least it feels like it since it doesn't hurt as much.

Well the 15th was my birthday so I guess I was thankful for friends and family. it honestly wasn't the greatest day though, the day before was better.

I forgot you sister came to help out and forgot to ask before how far away she's lived because this is the first I knew you even had a sister. Course I don't get to every single one of your posts so maybe I missed it previously.
Did you have too wear the brace for the first knee and if you do forget do you realize it right away or not until later if you're knee is sore?

She lives an hour from me. Being the oldest, she's younger by three years. It was good to have her here.
I didn't need it for the first knee. It's only because the left was beginning to crumble when he replaced it that I need it on this knee. My knee isn't sore if I forget to wear it. It's an inconvenience, but I'm wearing it.

I am thankful that I got to relax today. I am thankful that I have time to work on my book this evening. I am thankful that the '49ers are "done" and that I can root for the Packers in that division. I am thankful that I got another song recorded yesterday.

@just4him Michigan finally did get one touchdown and the extra point. They played horrible! Wisconsin was quick, precision, on the ball and their team played like pros!
