We do not have an Internet connection for a day. I try to dial the provider's hotline this afternoon but I was prompted to have a slide on their social media accounts. I send a direct message and I received response few minutes later stating that our our service is active and their was no disconnection. Before I inform them of my concern, I tried to check the modem/router but there's no problem on cables attached. Payment is updated and I also asked other people with the same provider if they have connection and they have. I check again the cables and found out that the line connecting to the box (the same box connecting the telephone line) was not attached. I could have done this without asking them first.

I always check all the cables first, you never know, it is too embarrassing to ask them to come here to check and they find an unplugged cable.

That's right Ms. Anna. I don't know why it was detached. Perhaps by accident. I should have check both ends but my mind was so focus on the modem only. Tsk! I'm embarrassed.

Good that you have solved your problem already. It us just frustrating to have connection problems especially when the customer service tells you that there are no problems from their side.

I'm just glad that it was fixed because their hotlines via phone are all answering machines and you can't talk to a real customers support representative in line with the Covid restriction. Good thing I was able to reach them at their social media page.

@rsa101 That's right. We need to learn to look for the solution the digital way.

I have done that also. One time I didn't have internet service. I had to go to a neighbor's house to call the service provider. Later I found out a cable came out. lol

When we believed that we've already done the solution and we cannot. We will try to sought help only to find out later that the solution is just simple.

Sometimes we cannot noticed everything, only when things done then you see the reason of the problem, At least you found that the cable was not attached, you can call them back again immediately to inform it.

Better to check your connection thoroughly before contacting the service providers. Better still to wipe clean the connecting pin and reconnect. The fault lies in poor connection sometimes.

Yes. It should be done first. I was desperate for not having an internet connection.

Sometimes it is something really simple that is the problem. At least it hasn't cost you anything.

When they inform me that my connection is OK and never been disconnected, I realize it must be something with the cable. Sometimes, I'd no longer thoroughly check it and sought help after several attempts without having the problem fixed.
