Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 63 degrees and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. I have the windows open for some fresh air. The cats are loving it. I slept until NOON today! It was great! I was snuggled under the blankets in the sunshine with my cats. Hey why not? It isn't like I have anything exciting going on today. The ex might stop by today. That would be nice. I haven't seen him in like 2 weeks. If not today then maybe tomorrow. Whats everyone else up to today?

I'm glad you were able to sleep until NOON, that was good to hear:) Jay went hunting this morning, hopefully he will get a deer. Venison? We love it!

@NJChicaa The wild meat flavor can be overwhelming, depending on whether the deer fed on acorns or it was corn fed (a farmer's field). To mellow the taste, I add a little bit of bacon grease. Venison tends to be very lean, with no marbling or fat. It's tricky business, the meat needs to be cooked a certain way. Usually, Jay has all of it ground into packages of burger. When I cook with it, the ratio is 1/2 ground beef, 1/2 ground venison. I did the same thing with bear meat, it was OK.

Cleaning the window, washing the curtains and then putting on the Christmas lights on the window before hanging the curtains again. Nothing exciting.

I did something like that here too. I was going to cook some rice but remembered that I had some seafood risotto in the freezer. It is now thawed and I will go to eat it now.

@NJChicaa I do not know what the weather was like outside here in my part of Jerusalem. I just did not want to get up and my cat stayed in the room with me. I slept on and off yesterday because I really needed it.
