Going to try a new recipe for Thanksgiving

My assignments are the mashed potatoes and the green beans. The mashed potato is my ex's late grandmother's recipe and my family is absolutely crazy about it. I won't dare mess with that. Green bean casserole isn't something that I grew up with. I started making a from scratch version many years ago when we would host the holiday at the house. It is good. This year I am going to do something different though. I was watching a Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten) episode on Thanksgiving sides this afternoon and it is haricots verts (French green beans) with dill and hazelnuts. It looks way easier to make and pretty tasty. Stay tuned!
