I don´t know what is happening to me. Last few weeks, I was watching Korean historical dramas and now I landed on Chinese historical dramas on youtube.
As a woman, I think it is weird for me to watch kung fu and martial art movies. This kind of movie has fascinated me already since I was a child. Martial arts and then seeing those men and women flying up to the roof while relaxing.
The first Chinese historical movie that I have seen is Chef Hua. It is about cooking and I loved it. I learned a lot from watching this tv series not only about the culture and tradition in China in the middle ages but also about their food. Watching this tv series makes me always hungry. It is worth watching
Here is the link
Do you watch kung fu or martial art movies? It reminds me of "Enter the Dragon" by Bruce Lee.
Thanks for reading. Have a nice day/evening in your neck of the wood.

I don't watch the kungfu movies or martial arts movies very often. If I remember correclty, the "Enter the dragon" movie was one of my favorites. Unless I'm thinking of "kiss of the dragon."
I like to watch foreign films though, it gives me a glimpse into other cultures.

@thelme55 Actually, it's a Jet Li movie. I'm not sure if this is the one I'm thinking of though, because I feel like the one I remember was a Bruce Lee movie.

When I was in my high school days, I liked watching movies of Bruce Lee, Meng Fei and Wang Yu :) We would go see the movies with my mother and siblings.

I used to watch Jacky Chan's movies when I just started working. The city then has but few movie houses with limited shows so we normally would end up watching Kungfu and martial arts movies.

I do, actually. Historical drama or ancient drama, whether Chinese or Korean are good. Sometimes they would insert facts for us to learn. However some of those dramas don't even have subs. It's irritating when I love it but can't really understand it.

That is good to hear @prinzcy. I love historical or ancient drama, too. Yes, that is annoying when there are no subtitles. What is more annoying when I have seen it until the 20 episodes and then there is no more continuation on youtube. The continuations are all on Netflix but I don´t have it. That is the reason why I landed on Chinese historical dramas. Maybe next would be Japanese. Thanks.
