Can YouTube be a passive income for us?

I wonder if we can earn money on YouTube without recording ourselves. I am very shy and I don't want to record a video with me. But maybe I can only record my voice and add something useful. I am not sure. Can it be a passive income?

@Moon24 No. I am tired to earn only cents here. I will try something else. I am using enough sites. I don't earn enough.

I am not a vlogger. But I could be one if I wouldn't be so shy. I don't want to be seen.

Cooking shows are a hit and a few make a good living. One need not show face if not willing to do so.

@dya80dya I have seen a few popular ones with voice and hands shown though it is better to show face too.

For cooking shows we need to show our face, right?

I guess so if you get followers...but you probably need thousands of followers to make a profit.

It's hard to say for sure. YouTube has changed quite a lot, and it's harder to get to a point now where you even get paid. For example, you have to have at least 1000 subscribers, and so many hours of watch time for them to even consider paying you. And then, most who actually make a good income from it have lots of good content, upload videos several times a week, and have spent years building a strong following. It is definitely not something that would be an overnight success and could actually take years to build into something that actually provides any kind of money at all.

very doable. The key is that you must be consistent and have interesting content. first I made a YouTube video too embarrassed, but there was a sense of satisfaction afterwards, especially when it was watched by many people. the bad news, I am inconsistent to continue that channel.
