A true labor of love

My husband, with my help, is making two photo/scrapbooks for our two children for Christmas. Sounds easy right? I've decided it was easier to plan the Normandy invasion. First he had to go through about eight photo albums and a huge box of loose pictures. The albums will be his life story with all the grandkids, too. Then I took pictures of the pictures with my cell phone, cropped them and ordered two prints of each one from Amazon Photos. Easy, you say. It was so complicated. We ended up with 2 of each, 3 of some and four of some! If I didn't already have Migraines, this would have pushed me over the edge. Now he's working on putting them in the albums. I think the kids will appreciate it although they'll never know the hours of work we've put in. Can't wait to see them open the albums at Christmas.

What a great Christmas gift. Do you have a scanner? That would have made the process simpler.

I have a scanner, but printer ink would have been much more expensive than ordering on line.

Some of these things look so easy once they're completed but take an incredible amount of work.

Sometimes the simplist gifts take the most work. At the end of the day, it's well worth it. At least I like to think so.

It's only easy with the recent photos because they are "digital photos", it takes forever to go through the old albums. I have scanned many of our old photos, but it is a long process.
