A pleasant coincidence

I was mentioning to the Physical Therapist that when I lived in McPherson I kept a YMCA membership and exercised a lot. She said she grew up in McPherson. We talked about schools, and teachers, etc. Her dad was my son's Gifted Education teacher in the 6th grade. Then he took a sabbatical before my daughter was that age. She always wanted to have him as a teacher. Not only that, but I drove her brother on the bus to go to some of his advanced classes. AND I remembered her. I used to see her around the schools when my son was in school.I would not have known her as this was years ago if she had not mentioned her dad being a teacher. He was a very good teacher. However, once I knew who she was, I could see that same wonderful smile, in her eyes. We were both wearing masks so I could not see her mouth. She has the same positive energy, though. I got more than I bargained for at Physical Therapy.

It is harder to see and sense expressions with a mask on. You have to make a strong effort. I get it that to many we look just like bland faces with no character. That is part of why I choose interesting fabric for my masks.

@GardenGerty lots 'f folks've those masks with the clear plastic o'er the mouth area so's folks can see their 'xpressions, fer the hard 'f hearin' 'n deaf folks can read their lips. i'd think such'd be really hot? i dunno, i rarely venture outside'f my property these days...

Yes, she was very nice and helpful. I tend to think that there is "nothing wrong with me" and both my doctor and this therapist are reaffirming that I need to be taken care of. It is not in my head.
