I want to Wine

But I can't... So I'm going to whine. Why? I used a cheap corkscrew and it is now stuck in the wine bottle. I can't figure out how to get it out. Pushing it in isn't working, trying to use a case knife isn't working.. I guess I could try to the shoe against the wall trick but I don't see that working either. I was already having a cruddy day and now this.... Did I mention that's the only alcohol in the house?

@scribbledadnauseum I hate it when that happens. That’s why I always have more than one bottle in the house.

Oh no! Can you run the neck under hot water - supposedly the glass expands so you can get the cork out. Though I have not done that myself. Argh - good luck!!!

Tried that, tried the nail truck, the case knife trick... It's not doing anything. I gave up for now and left the kitchen so I wasn't tempted to eat the pumpkin bars in the fridge. Today is just.. Yeah..

@ScribbledAdNauseum Ugh, sorry. But there's gotta be a way. Well, it's definitely a brain teaser for the day . . . hope you can get back to it again later.

@much2say Nope, not annoyed. I got offline and decided to just spend the day doing other things. I crocheted (and threw it away because the piece wasn't going to fit me) and today has been much better. Thanks!

Being the person that I am I would probably try a cordless drill (or corded) and drill through that stinker.

I've decided to put it out of my mind. I don't drink very often, and I was looking forward to a glass, but oh well. I bet the drill would do some damage though.

Thank you. I was pretty upset about it yesterday, but today I'm just not going to worry about it.

I don't think I'm going to get it figured out. I tried the nail and hammer trick too and that didn't work. Thank You though.

@Michellekidwell Thank You and that's alright. It just means I didn't really need it, right?
