An unusual wedding cake

My ex and I got married in Cozumel Mexico in a sunset ceremony on the beach. We did it right at the condo complex that we were staying at and then the family had a wedding dinner up on the top floor in the restaurant they had. Prime rib! Yum! My mom was in charge of pretty much the whole wedding. She even picked out my wedding dress. She ordered the flowers, she set everything up, and she ordered the wedding cake. She wanted them to make an ice cream cake for us: coconut ice cream on the top, chocolate crunchies in the middle, and chocolate ice cream on the bottom with flowers on top. The owner of the restaurant said that the cake was going to be VERY EXPENSIVE. My mom said "fine how much?" He said $65. That cracked her up. She was like "I think I can do that". The surprising thing was that they iced it in buttercream. We weren't expecting that! An iced ice cream cake with pink gerbera daisies on it is not something you see every day. . . or ever. We loved it though. One more thing that made our wedding special and unusual.
