A Child Sticking His or Her Tongue Out...Grrr!!!

It is not a secret that I still teach online on weekends. The first-class online almost ruined my working day. The reason is that a boy keeps on sticking his tongue out at me. I called his attention that it is a rude thing to do that. I kept my composure and tried to ignore his bad gesture. What will you do if you see a boy stick his tongue out at someone? If I can only do that, I will. I don't want to do it because the video is recorded. It is really annoying, especially if the parent is not doing anything.

If you cannot get him to stop then it is a difficult thing to take, You are teaching online so you cannot put him to stand in a corner, He is just being a little brat,

I agree. I don't mind if he continues to do so. Entertaining his bad attitude will make me stressed out. I don't like a stressor like this.

We can not do much about such behavior in online classes. We can handle them better in physical classes. Parents have to teach him that.

I agree. That's the reason why I just ignore it. It's up to him or her if he or she wants to learn. In the back of mind, he or she still needs to pay for my service.

@Shavkat Yes. You are there providing the service. It's not your fault if he is not learning it due to his behavior issue. Do you get to interact with parents?? Maybe you can bring it to their notice.

I can't imagine why they are becoming like this. During our time in the past, we keep still and behave well by just a killer look of our parents.

It should be the parent's duty to always teach manners to others.

Ignore it, mostly. I'm not the parent, I'm not responsible for the behavior. However, since you're his teacher. Bring this behavior up to his parents/guardians. It's their responsibility to curb the behavior.

I am not a parent, too. I sometimes ask my students' parents to check their kids' bad behaviors. If they don't listen, I will just leave feedbacks through writings.

If it was my child, he would get a good slap on his/her face. Where are his parents? Is this the way they are teaching their son good manners?

Just ignore the boy. Some parents don't like if we 'talk' to their kid. It's their responsibility.

No good manners and right conduct. Are the parents know about what he is doing?
