December 8 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day. I have a lot to be thankful for, but I'll focus on just one thing.
I'm thankful for my friend. She's so awesome. She's been a great help since my son had his accident. She took me to all my appointments with therapy, and the chiropractor appointment today. She'll also get me to my appointment tomorrow for my hearing aids.
Her birthday is Thursday. I treated her for lunch today. We had a wonderful time talking and eating and taking the overabundance home.
Friends are an important part of our lives. We all need them. They lift us up when we're down. They come to our rescue, no questions asked. Even when they're miles apart, they're there with a listening ear. Having a friend isn't a one-way street. They know they can depend on us too when they have a need.
Do you have that kind of friend? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me of my friend. I also got my stamps in the mail so I will have the remaining Christmas cards in the mail tomorrow.

I am also thankful for my handful of really close friends that I can count on for anything. Like you said, it is very important to have a few people like that in our lives.
