For How Many Persons Do You Cook at Home?

Baked spaghetti Bolognese

We are only 2 at home, my hubby and me but what I always cook is for more than 2 persons. We always have leftovers to be eaten for the next day or I freeze it for later use when I am not in the mood to cook. Since last week, I don´t have to eat often leftover. I told my son that if he likes, he can collect what I cook so he doesn´t have to cook at home or orders anywhere when he has no time as he is busy at work. Well, he comes after his jogging almost every evening to collect his dinner. It was a good idea that came into my mind so I could see my son often although with social distancing. Anyway, I am happy about it. I see him often and I am sure that he is not eating junk food for dinner. Thanks for reading. The photo is baked spaghetti bolognese for tonight's dinner.

Just like you, only for two people, my husband and I. My husband is not a fan of leftovers, I only cook the quantity we can eat, exception made for very few dishes.

I learnt to use leftovers from my mother. Leftover dishes are often very tasty.

I am thankful that my husband eats leftovers or else I would only cook for 2 persons only. Thanks @LadyDuck

Have you invented this dish? I don't know it from my visits to Italy. I think I would like it.

I think I have but I am not sure @MALUSE. I was bored of eating leftover spaghetti again and again and so I had the idea of putting mozzarella or Gouda cheese on top and baked it. It tastes good. You can try it.

@MALUSE Surely it's not Italian, "spaghetti bolognese" is for tourists only and we would never bake spaghetti, we like them "al dente".

@LadyDuck The concept of 'al dente' is rarely obeyed in other countries. I remember eating slimy pasta in London in a restaurant with an Italian name. The cooks weren't Italians, though, as we found out later. This taught us! We didn't go to so-called Italian restaurants again. The same for the USA!

We have a family of 4 here (Hubby, me, and our 2 kids). But sometimes I cook extra to deliver to my parents. Or if our leftover portions are too small for another meal, I will just give that to my parents since it is just the 2 of them. Your baked spaghetti looks so yummy!

We are only two here as well, but I always cook more than we can eat. But it works out because I can make other things with the leftovers, plus we have something to take to work for lunch which saves money.

@thelme55 Beats spending money every day to eat. That can be expensive, and probably unhealthy to boot.
