Hello, is The Horse there? Do you get the same robo-calls over and over?

He has a nice, slightly Southern accent, and was probably hired for that reason. When I worked at Many Glacier Hotel in Montana, all of the front desk kids were from the South. Those of us who were dishwashers and such like were mostly from the Midwest.
I messed with him the first few times he called, trying to see what their algorithm did with quirky responses. I think I asked once "Are you a bot?" once, and he actually said "I'm a real person." Now I just hang up when I hear his voice. It's a tad scary that "he" knows my name, but not too scary. I think he's trying to raise money for some police association or another.
Anyway, do you get same robo-calls over and over? You'd think they'd have an algorithm that eliminated you from their list once you've hung up on them a certain number of times, but no...

A south asian fellow keeps wanting to clean my air ducts and I keep telling him I don't have any but he keeps calling anyway.

@TheHorse Maybe he knows I'm lying about not having any air ducts?

@BarBaraPrz Can he fix my air ducts AND repay my student loans? Can he even make sure my cat is "fixed"?

@TheHorse I don't have a house phone, well I do have a number the Xfinity insisted on giving me but I don't have a phone so the only way I know I got a call is I see it on my TV lol I don't even know my number.

Well I even had a desperate and frustrated guy working with a bank and selling credit cards, who called me. I cut the phone but he again called me.
I had to block his number through an App.

No bot. I can empathize with these folks- males/females who are selling credit cards or similar things on phone and mostly facing rejection.
But well, I cannot satisfy each and every person. I have to see my financial needs, budget etc too.

Well being employed is better than being unemployed.
So we have quite a lot of them in India.

Yes, it happens.
By choice, we only have cell phones now. We can set the call to go directly to voice mail if it rings again. However, you know they have dozens of numbers they call from if not thousands.
