I have stuffing and turkey combined, with some cream of chicken soup. In addition we will eat Brussels sprouts and some other foods. Well, according to the Red Cross I do not show any antibodies to covid-19. So I either did not have it when I thought I might have, before we knew about it, in January, or the antibodies have worn off in 10 months. I am enjoying a stay at home day today.

I'd love the smell of turkey in the kitchen again - oh that sounds good. Interesting - I remember we talked about our weird illnesses from earlier in the year. Same time frame as me and everyone else I know - I wonder if the results would be the same for us.

My lead teacher mentioned that we all thought last year was the worst year for sickness ever. I think one day a class only had about six out of twenty students.

@GardenGerty It was that way in my son's class . . .many kids were out of school for big chunks of time! Whether it was covid or not, it was something bad anyway!

Hmm can antibodies actually wear off? Stuffing sounds yummy although I’m having trouble keeping my dinner down right now

Yes, antibodies can wear off. That is why we get booster shots for things like Tetanus. In the last few years they have learned that whooping cough immunity and antibodies wears off, so they recommend boosters for that as well. I had a friend who could only tolerate spicy foods while pregnant--tacos and pizza, etc. I tended with my second pregnancy to keep triscuits, cheddar cheese and raisins in baggies in my pocket. Eating every hour or two helped. First pregnancy I lived on chicken noodle soup, and hot tea with lemon and honey.

@shaggin That is hard. I find I digest things better if I eat pineapple with them. That includes dairy.

@GardenGerty yes I seem to have to snack much more often. I never snacked like this before. It helps the nausea to not let my stomach get totally empty. Dairy seems to really be hurting my stomaching. I’m bloating so badly for hours after eating any. I may have to stop eating it and take extra calcium but gosh I eat so much dairy I don’t know what else I will eat.

Your lunch sounds wonderful! How could you have had Covid-19 last January unless you were in China then? Must have been the flu.

Latest studies are indicating that novel coronavirus may have been in the US as early as December. If I had it in January the antibodies have already dissipated. In our school and town we had more illnesses starting in October than usual. They even renamed one classroom "the flu room". One day only six out of twenty students were present. Many people were taking time off and being tested with the usual response being, "it isn't the flu, it isn't strep. It is a virus there is not treatment, wait it out." We had a lot more really sick people last year than this year. Probably because this year we sanitize, wear masks, wash hands with soap and water hourly.

@DianneN Flying, or being in the plane sounds very risky to me with the recirculating air. At school they went through and fitted all the heating units with air cleaners, and I think it helps. I am usually really stuffy and congested from October on. I also put lavender essential oil in my mask as it is anti viral, anti fungal, anti bacterial.

@GardenGerty Wow! I never heard that. And to think we flew in a plane last December! Glad you didn't have the virus in any event. Safety precautions are imperative now, especially in schools.

Yes, it has been in my freezer. I am lucky to have plenty of freezer space so if I cook a lot of food I can safely hold it for a while in the freezer.

Turkey is a very versatile meat. I was hoping I had antibodies so I could, perhaps donate plasma and help sick people.

I am thinking I had it last January, and that the antibodies have worn off. I actually ran a fever and had a cough that would not go away. I never run a fever unless I have the flu or some severe virus.

Not everyone develops antibodies it depends on how severe your case was and the amount of virus you got. So you may indeed have had it

I did not realize that. I was not severely ill, but I did run a fever, which is very unusual for me. I also had a cough that would not go away and kept me up. I found that I had some tessalon perles, and my doctor prescribed me more. That helped me sleep.
