I Saw His Gift For Me

This is one of those instances that I do not like sharing an account with my husband. I share a My UPS account with my husband. This helps when we are expecting a package and we will not be home to receive or sign for it. For the past months I have been eyeing this bag, but I keep it on save as I think it is something that I can pass buying. I don't know how my husband found out about it because I never created an account for that particular brand's online shopping site. I was obviously mylotting this morning when I saw an email notification from our My UPS account saying that our package is on the way. I wen to look at the email - it is not new that we receive emails about unclaimed packages that are really scams, so my intention is to delete it. But in the preview pane of my inbox, I saw that it is a legitimate email from UPS. It says our package will arrive next week, and I saw that it is from the website of the brand of the bag that I was wanting! Ugh, I wished I did not see that email. Of course I will not tell him that I saw it, but now I cannot contain my excitement. I hope I can keep it together until next week.

Oh sorry but now you will have to just pretend you did not see it

Technically, I really have not seen it. So I am sure the look of surprise on my face will be genuine. Gosh, that sounded so silly.

Just pretend that you have not seen it. It is thoughtful of him to do that.

I will try to do that. And yes, I am fortunate. I wonder what I can give him for Christmas. He is hard to find a gift.

@Raine38 We have the same problem. It is hard to find a gift for my husband, too. Have a nice weekend.

I think so too. Now, if I can only find a good gift for him too.

My ex and I have separate email accounts so that was never an issue. I did make him stop looking at the credit card statements during December, though, so he wouldn't see where his presents were coming from.

We used to have separate accounts, but for those accounts that require membership, like Amazon Prime, it will be more practical to keep one account. Since then we avoid buying gifts for each other from Amazon.

I am. And even if it is not the exact bag, the fact that he made an effort to find out what I like is so touching.

Or just pretend you never see and practice starting now to be really happy and surprised. That would bring a huge smile on his face later.

Enjoy your gift when you get it. And enjoy anticipating.
