Christmas is coming...

With this year of covid and other happenings, the old song "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" seems to be a dream. This year we are experiencing a whole new way of celebrating, for the most part. Many of us will be spending the holiday at hoe without our loved ones. It seems that many have lost the spirit of Christmas. We need to remember "the reason for the season". Christmas may be different this year but in spirit it should be the same. The hubby and I will be spending time with just the two of us. It will be a quiet Christmas but we will be celebrating the fact that our loved ones are happy, healthy, and safe. I hope everyone out there will also have a happy, healthy, and safe.

It'll be just the 4 of us - me, Hubby, daughter and son. Staying happy, healthy and safe together - we are fortunate!

Our plans are very rough and sketchy right now. We may do brunch with our son and his wife and her mother, but will not see any other family members. Today we may do a porch present drop off as tomorrow we go into the restricted red code.

Christmas will be again the wonderful celebration as it was when we were kids. We also will be only my husband and I, it will be a quiet Christmas, but I know we will be happy.

I think that there are so many people out there that were unhappy before the pandemic came along. It is a wonderful thing to be able to enjoy your family and the peace of a quiet Christmas.

'Different' doesn't have to mean 'worse'. Hopefully people will still find the will to celebrate in other ways.

Mine really won't be much different as I usually only spend it with close family that we live near and see all the time anyways... Thinking about having a new year's Eve party though with about 5 or so friends instead of going out like we might usually..

We usually have a full house here at Christmas time. We have 3 daughters, 3 son-in-laws, and 8 grandchildren. Not to mention a brother, sister, sister-in-law and friends. Since i am high risk and we want everyoe to be safe, we will be a party of two this year, the hubby and I.

such's been way too commercialized fer more years'n i've fingers'n toes to count. i hope that folks 've learnt from all these holidays that 'tis not the presents, 'tis the heart. a quiet time to reflect, recall what this time 'f year'd be 'bout. many countries do quite well with such, e'en though they can't 've their normal celebrations 'f this gift.

We have been thinking of sitting back, enjoy at spaghetti dinner, and enjoy the peace. We will miss the children and grandchildren but at least we know they will be safe in their own homes.

We usually go to my great-aunt's house for Christmas Eve, but she canceled the get-together because of the virus. I don't know what I will be doing. Chris (my boyfriend) is supposedly coming down.
