Expecting a Christmas Basket from the office today. Problem is the listed address where they will deliver the Christmas Basket isn't the correct one. I still live there but I'm not there presently. I have made arrangements with the condominium admin to receive the package on my behalf. I had tried to update the address but since the company wanted to surprise its employees, there wasn't time to do it. Anyway, the Christmas Baskets were delivered starting last Sunday and a good number of my teammates got theirs already. The Christmas Basket also comes with a Christmas ham. Not bad really. At least, we received something. Expecting another Christmas package from the local government. Might be getting that today as well. Anyone else expecting a Christmas package?

that is good. You have a good company then. My husband's company will not be receiving the usual stuff they received. I think they opt to convert it in cash

I wouldn't go and say that it is a good company. They have a lot of previous misdeeds. Giving a Christmas Basket doesn't erase those misdeeds. Like what I wrote in a previous comment, I prefer to get cash instead.

@allen0187 misdeeds should have been addressed. And if they keep doing that then they are really not a good company

Oh wow that is good that you were able to do that still. Since most of us are working from home no one is around to really attend to this things that the management decided to pay extra cash for us to replace that Xmas basket they usually give their employees.

@allen0187 True convenient for the Finance people since they will just add the extra cash to our accounts. No more rushing to the stores to buy it for everyone. Plus it will save us more in the delivery of the goods too. Less hassle for the people concerned to attend to.

@rsa101 true. Not sure why management still pushed through with the gift basket and ham.

The thought was good, make no mistake about it but I actually prefer if they gave cash instead. At least, I get to decide what to do with the cash. Still, a good gesture by the company.

We're not expecting a Christmas package. I do hope you get yours safely. That would be really nice to get a Christmas basket of goodies.

Some people are getting packages from the government during the pandemia. Even Alejandra got one. I will not get one though. They only give them to the people with less means. And not even to all of them. It has nothing to do with Christmas.

Apart from the usual Christmas cards, no. Not really. We received a card from my hubby's aunt. Expecting one from his sister and mom, and probably the other aunt. Not sure about anyone else. We'll have to pick up our Christmas cards, too.

That is a nice thought anyway, my company just gave little gift cards to grocery stores I always gave mine away to people with actual kids. That would be a slap in the face if I was running the show, what I do not pay you people enough, no not really. It would be understandable if they were struggling too but raking in millions while their employees suffer.

We got ham from work, and that's it. I'd rather the bonus we will receive this year is more than last year.

That's good gesture by your company. We received small bonus on last year Eid. There's none this year. But at least we still receive our monthly salary, so I guess it still a good thing now.

I don't know what did you receive last year, but from what I see, this year is good too. My husband always receives something from government every year, but it's getting lesser and lesser. But still grateful tho.
