Busy Morning

My son picked me up right after work this morning. It felt so good to get back in the pool this morning. I also found it was harder than I expected. I got a good 45-minute workout in the pool. Followed by the hot tub. I'm definitely not as fast as I was before the surgeries. It's going to take time to work up to the pace I had before in the pool. Then it was up to the fitness center. I thought for a fraction of a second about putting 20 minutes on the elliptical but went for 10 minutes instead. Wise decision. The bike proved the hardest to get started. I needed to get my feet in the stirrups on the foot pedal. It is easy to get the first one, but the second was challenging. I needed to bend my knee a little more than I was used to, to get it started. Once I did, I put 10 minutes on the timer and started pedaling. Again, I wasn't nearly as fast as I expected. Rotating the wheel was harder and slower than I expected. The good news is, I did it on both of them. I then called my son to pick me up.
One thing I can say is when it was over, my knees felt great. They still do.
When he picked me up I found my grandson had come with him. It was then off to get the information necessary for the car dealership. That took easily another hour. It was after ten when I got home and they took my laundry with them.
He should know today when he can pick up the car. He's hoping to pick it up today and then I will have my car back.
I was happy to get home as I hadn't eaten anything yet, so it was late when I had breakfast.
I also pulled two Christmas cards from my box this morning when I got home. One from myLotter Kharla Jolly. Thank you. The other from a pool pal.
That's my morning. It's after 11 AM. I have an appointment this afternoon for my hearing aids and if he gets the car, I might not be home very much today.

i'm doin' a happy dance fer ya! knowin' how swimmin' there'n those waters 's 'lways brought'cha great joy. those muscles used 've not gotten such a work-out fer some time, so patience 'tis gonna be key. i've no doubt yer gonna be back to speed'n record time.
'twas sittin' here thinkin' how diff'cult that'd be, that stirrup thingy'n those pedals. 'tis the lil thingies such's that which folks think'd be so simple, yet can be the most challengin'. 'tis brilliant yer knees felt great 'fter such! 'n yer way now, once fully healed, to bein' a force to be reckoned. aint no stoppin' ya now, so proud 'f ya!
my days've all rolled 'nto a blur, so's can't e'en tell ya 'bout 3 days 'go :) 'tis been interestin'.

@just4him yer welcome. yes ma'am, gonna take time'n patience to get all workin' proper. jest recall the traumas yer body's been through the past months. i'm more proud 'f the progress y'ave made, shows yer determination 'n heart.
some're more interestin' than i'd like.

Thank you. What seemed easy before, isn't as easy now. It will take work, and I'm sure getting that foot in the stirrup, helped get my knee to 122 today. I'm looking forward to the day when I can do everything with ease again.

Being in the pool and then the fitness center is a good start to your day.
I recently got an under my desk elliptical called a cubbie. It is giving my knees good exercise and I dont have to climb onto a bike. It was a little pricey but well worth it.
We're getting more snow tomorrow!!!

I think I'll move to your location if you keep getting snow. At least it hasn't been warm so what we got a couple of days ago is still around.
Yes, it was a fantastic start to the day. If I didn't need to leave in just over an hour, I'd take a nap. I'm sitting here yawning.
The cubbie sounds wonderful.

You certainly have had a busy morning. Mine has been somewhat quiet. I had breakfast ready when Mike got home. Found out his uncle passed this morning. His aunt passed earlier this year. It's been a hard year on the family, two aunts, uncle and dad all gone.
Hope things go well for your son at the car lot. Fingers crossed.
