December 15 - What I'm Thankful for Today

It was a very good day today.
I'm thankful I'm finally back in the pool. I had a nice welcome back from my pool friends. I saw one friend as she was leaving this morning when I got there. She was happy to see me. Another was in the pool when I got there. One thing that surprised me was the stairs. I could do them without too much trouble. The bike in the fitness center posed the biggest problem, but I got that figured out too. It was an awesome time at that YWCA this morning.
I'm also thankful for hearing aids. Everything sounds magnified. I didn't realize how bad my hearing was. I thought it was still good. Even clicking on the keyboard is loud. It's something I'll get used to in time. I'll never hear the same way again.
I'm thankful my car is in my parking space so I can get out for an early morning swim tomorrow. Then I will be taking it back to my son. Soon, my car will be home all the time.

Yes, they are an adjustment. Just getting them in my ears is fun.
I'll be very happy to have my car back full time. Then I can get to the pool every day at 5 AM again. It was so good to be there at that time this morning.

I am thankful that my visit to the doctor was by a telephone inside the home and not at the clinic due to the pandemic which saved me a bus ride to the clinic.

I love the tree.
I'm thankful that hubby and I got the cats' meds knocked out earlier today. I'm thankful I managed to run the dish washer (hubby's suggestion) and most of the house chores I wanted done, are done. I'm thankful for our cats who make life very interesting.

Thank you. I only know I needed to wait until the incision healed and the scabs were gone. That happened last week finally.
It's wonderful being back in the pool. I'm also working out in the fitness center, so I'm giving my knees a good workout.

brought me great joy to read 'n that e'en those stairs'r not a big issue any longer. those young'uns sure like to snooze 'lot, eh? how wonderful to've 't least a few close by.
i'm 3 days 'hind. nary a clue what all happened?? but'm 'lways grateful fer each day. 'tis a blessin' jest to waken.

Thank you. Today stairs would have been an issue. My thigh objected. I asked the doctor why the quad hurt the way it did. He wasn't surprised. He showed me where he stitched my knee and where it hurts was part of that area of the thigh. So, I will have days when the stairs will seem to defeat me. Knowing why; I can live with that.
Yes, it is a blessing to wake up in the morning.
